Sediba Sa Rona
Sediba Sa Rona sits on the bank of the Khwai River in Botswana's Khwai Concession, where the eastern edge of the Okavango Delta meets Moremi Game Reserve. The lodge opens on 16 March 2026 and holds fifteen luxury tents, all facing the river with en suite bathrooms and private viewing decks. Two tents can be booked as interleading for families: one king room and one twin, each with a separate deck.
The main area includes a fire deck that extends toward the water, a pool, bar, spa, and outdoor dining spaces. An enormous Leadwood tree grows through the centre of the main guest area — the architecture was built around it rather than past it. The lodge runs entirely off-grid via a solar farm with battery and inverter backup, and a water-treatment plant supplies both the lodge and staff village.
Game drives go out twice daily in open vehicles. Night drives in the concession can be requested in place of, or in addition to, the afternoon drive. Day trips into Moremi Game Reserve can be arranged; night drives are not permitted inside Moremi. Mokoro excursions on the shallower channels and floodplains run subject to seasonal water levels. Birding is strong year-round — kingfishers of five species, African fish eagles, African jacanas, and the occasionally sighted Pel's fishing owl are all recorded here. Scenic helicopter flights over the concession are available with advance booking.
