Set within Sefapane Lodge's nine-hectare estate, the restaurant overlooks tropical gardens studded with indigenous trees and large ponds. The lodge sits one kilometre from the Phalaborwa Gate into Kruger National Park. The Calabash Grill seats 80 under an open-air structure with views across the main pool and the Tusk Bar. Solid wood chairs and Shwe-Shwe linen accents furnish the dining room. African artworks hang on the walls. The kitchen serves breakfast and dinner. Menus combine local ingredients with continental dishes. The restaurant is open to non-residents. Sefapane has operated for nearly three decades as a base for safaris into the northern Kruger. The estate includes 51 grass-thatched rondavels and self-catering safari houses, all positioned among the ponds and forest. Guided game drives depart at dawn and dusk for the park. Bush walks led by armed rangers cross wilderness tracts inside Kruger. Cultural tours visit nearby communities. The Misava Spa adjoins the restaurant and offers massage treatments and foot rituals. The Tusk Bar serves cocktails, wine, and craft beer beside the pool until late. Ba-Phalaborwa's mild winters allow year-round travel; the Blyde River Canyon and the Three Rondavels lie an hour north by road.
