Poacher’s Lookout offers a sunset experience overlooking Mount Kilimanjaro, which stands at 5,895 metres. The site features a small thatched hut once used by Kenya Wildlife Service rangers to combat poaching. Guests travel about seven kilometres from Severin Safari Camp, a journey of roughly fifteen minutes each way. The visit typically lasts one hour. During the sundowner, guests have sparkling wine and canapés while listening to music from the film Out of Africa.
