Singita Boulders sits on the Sand River inside the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, a forty-five-thousand-acre private concession that borders Kruger National Park. The lodge takes its name from the large boulder the builders encountered when siting the wine cellar — they built the cellar around it rather than move it, and the natural stone aesthetic carried into the rest of the lodge.

Twelve suites front the river behind glass walls that slide open onto private wooden decks. Each suite has a double-sided fireplace, indoor and outdoor shower, and a private heated plunge pool. The configuration breaks into eight River Suites, two Bush Suites, and two two-bedroom Family Suites. A lookout deck above the thatched lounge area faces the river, where game comes to drink.

Game drives run morning and evening in Land Rovers holding a maximum of six guests, led by guides and trackers. Night drives extend the same coverage into after dark. Guided walking safaris track animals on foot with a guide and tracker. The Sabi Sand concession records high leopard sightings alongside lion, rhino, buffalo, hippo, and wild dog. A canine anti-poaching unit based in the reserve offers guests a behind-the-scenes visit and a live tracking exercise with a dog and handler.

The lodge also runs a wine programme with a sommelier, a fitness centre with bush views, and a spa offering treatments in a dedicated facility. The boutique stocks work by local craftspeople alongside collectables sourced from across the continent.
