Siviti Timbavati Plains
Set on the banks of the Timbavati River in the southern sector of Thornybush Private Nature Reserve, Siviti holds seven suites, one two-suite villa, and a four-bedroom homestead. Thornybush forms part of the unfenced Greater Kruger National Park. The lodge name derives from the Xitsonga word for intelligence, in reference to the elephants that move through the reserve. Each of the seven Timbavati suites occupies 80 m² and includes a king bed or twin beds, an en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers, a private plunge pool, and a viewing deck overlooking the river. The two-suite Timbavati Villa spans 220 m² with a shared living area, separate lounge spaces, and a rim-flow pool on the deck. The Timbavati Homestead sleeps eight across four en-suite bedrooms and can be booked self-catered or fully catered.

Twice-daily game drives depart with a guide and tracker to track lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino across the reserve. Night drives reveal nocturnal species. Guided walks on foot trace smaller fauna and cover tracking techniques. The main lodge areas include a rim-flow pool that overlooks a waterhole elephants visit, a wine cellar offering tastings of five South African wines with cheese, and an on-site spa. Meals are served on the deck or in the elevated dining area. A Discovery Centre hosts wildlife talks and displays mounted specimens. Optional activities include helicopter flights to Blyde River Canyon, visits to a K9 anti-poaching unit, and tours of the Nourish Eco-Village. Wireless internet, laundry service, and select drinks are included.
