The half-moon layout opens each of the eighteen sites toward the desert and the red dunes beyond. Every unit includes a private toilet, shower with solar-heated water, kitchenette basin, barbecue, and two electricity points. A rooftop terrace above each site faces Elim Dune and the surrounding plains — a platform for sleeping under the Namib sky or watching sunrise colour the sandstone ridges.
The camp lies directly across from the Namib Naukluft Park entrance at Sesriem, on the C27. A pool sits at the centre of the half-moon arrangement. The Sossus Oasis service station beside the camp supplies 50 ppm diesel and 95-octane petrol, plus a tyre workshop. The adjacent shop stocks groceries, frozen meat, ice, wood, and takeaway food — fresh bread and rolls arrive each morning from Sossusvlei Lodge. You can hear barking geckos after dark.
Guided excursions to Sossusvlei and Deadvlei depart from Sossusvlei Lodge across the road, as do sunrise walks on Elim Dune, sundowner drives, and scenic flights over the sand sea. The lodge restaurant is within walking distance. Check-in is at the shop. Children under five stay without charge; those aged five to eleven pay half the adult camping rate.
