Set above the Lobo Valley where Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and Maasai Mara National Reserve meet, TAASA Lodge sits in a corridor travelled year-round by resident herds. The lodge stands in the Poleleti Game Reserve in the Mara Region. Twelve tented suites occupy 50 m² each and open onto private verandahs that face the valley. Each suite holds a raised sleeping area with a king or twin beds, a sectional sofa in the sitting area, and an en-suite bathroom finished in stone with a double vanity and rainfall shower. Interconnected suites accommodate families.
The central lodge holds a lounge, bar, and dining terrace beneath a canvas roof. An infinity pool overlooks the valley. Guides and trackers lead game drives in open four-wheel-drive vehicles, departing twice daily and extending into night drives after dark. You can walk with a ranger through the surrounding bush at sunrise. The lodge organises visits to the nearby Maasai village of Ololosokwan and to a local primary school. Bush breakfasts, lunches, and boma dinners under the stars are arranged on request. Between June and October the Great Migration herds cross the reserve as they move north towards Kenya. Resident wildlife includes lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, black rhino, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, cheetah, hyena, and warthog. Laundry, wireless internet, and minibar refreshments are complimentary.
