The Alpina Gstaad

The Alpina Gstaad is set on a hillside above the village, its rooms and suites looking down over chalet roofs to the Diablerets range beyond. All 56 rooms and suites carry private terraces, and the Alpine idiom runs through them in hand-built stone fireplaces, carved wood ceilings, and period painted furniture sourced from the region's own workshops. Deluxe Rooms run from 31 to 33 m²; Deluxe Suites reach 77 m², with a dressing room and a fireplace of their own. The Chalet Suite spans 225 m² across three bedrooms, with two dining tables and a full kitchen. Above it, the Panorama Residence occupies the top floor at 400 m², a duplex with three en-suite bedrooms, a wood-burning fireplace, and a private wellness floor with sauna, steam room, gym, and an outdoor jacuzzi. Executive Chef Marcus G. Lindner, who holds a Michelin star, runs the kitchens across Megu, Sommet, and the Swiss Stübli, so a guest can move from Japanese plates to Alpine ones without leaving the building. The Six Senses Spa sits at the hotel's centre, built around indoor and outdoor pools and treatments that draw on Asian practice alongside newer additions like hyperbaric oxygen therapy. In summer, guests can borrow one of six e-Vespas to cover the valley roads beyond the terrace.
