The One Resort Zanzibar

The One Resort Zanzibar is a beachfront property on the southern coast of Zanzibar in Makunduchi, facing the Indian Ocean. Forty accommodation units comprise 30 Deluxe Double rooms, four Junior Suites, two Deluxe Suites, and four Garden Villas. Deluxe Double rooms—designated Mango and Lychee—hold a queen bed, armchairs, a coffee table, mini-fridge, tea station, and private bathroom with shower. Junior Suite Papaya, of which there are four, adds a separate bedroom, living room with foldable sofa, and a bathtub. The two Deluxe Suites, named Tiki, each contain two queen bedrooms, a living area with foldable sofa and seating, and a bathroom with a large bathtub; capacity is six. The four Garden Villas face planted grounds rather than the ocean and accommodate four. All units have air conditioning, flat-screen television, and safety deposit box.

Meza restaurant serves buffet and à la carte menus drawing on local and international ingredients. A bar operates on site. The resort maintains two outdoor swimming pools, one cited as among the largest on Zanzibar. A spa and wellness centre occupy part of the property. A new Pilates studio, led by instructor Adriana, offers mat and equipment sessions for all levels. The private beach area gives direct access to the shoreline. Wi-Fi is available throughout.
