Tsitsikamma Village Inn

The Tsitsikamma Village Inn is a three-star hotel in Storms River Village that reconstructs a Cape Colony settlement around a village green. An 1888 sawmill manager's residence now serves as the reception building. Forty-nine rooms occupy cottages and lodges around the green, each reflecting a distinct nineteenth-century building style from the Cape Colony. Village rooms hold double or twin beds fitted with air-conditioning, electric blanket, television, tea and coffee tray, bath, and shower. The Barn, converted from 1890s stables, offers rooms with double beds and showers. Two-storey log chalets built in 1988 hold twin-bed or family rooms around a fountain, each with bath and shower. Premier rooms include De Oude Pastorie with a king-size bed, and Albert & Victoria Cottage, a honeymoon suite in late Victorian style with sash windows. Each cottage garden is planted to match its building period. De Oude Martha Restaurant occupies a wide verandah overlooking the village square and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner using herbs from the hotel garden. Hunter's Pub displays antique rifles, animal trophies, and skins beneath its yellowwood beams. Café Bacchus opens onto a courtyard fountain. Marilyn's 60s Diner next door features two vintage cars, motorcycles, checkered floors, and a jukebox. The Tsitsikamma Microbrewery, opened in 2014, brews ales according to the 1487 German Reinheitsgebot using water from the property well. The hotel provides a swimming pool, children's play area, conference room for 84 delegates, and complimentary wireless internet.
