Ubuntu Migration Camp is a ten-tent canvas camp that relocates with the wildebeest migration. From June to mid-November it sits in the Lamai Wedge in the northern Serengeti — a quieter corridor with fewer neighbouring camps and vehicles than the central park. By mid-July, wildebeest and zebra are crossing the Mara River almost daily, with crocodile working the water below; that activity continues for roughly two months. The camp is positioned to reach those crossings without the vehicle congestion found further south.

The ten tents — including one four-sleeper family tent — are canvas with mesh side panels, each with an en suite bucket-shower bathroom and a private porch. The whole camp runs on solar power with a backup generator, and complimentary laundry is included. Children aged five and older are welcome.

The camp is designed to be fully dismantled and moved within a couple of days, which is why it can follow the herds rather than wait for them. Walking safaris are available in the Lamai Wedge, where the low density of camps makes on-foot game viewing practical. Hot-air balloon flights can also be arranged over the northern plains at sunrise.

The closest airstrip for the northern season is Lamai, one hour and forty minutes by road from camp.
