Villa Mushara has no restaurant of its own; guests dine instead at the thatched public area of Mushara Lodge next door. The space combines a dining room with a bar and extensive wine cellar, a small library, a lounge with a fireplace for cool evenings, a veranda and a curio shop. Décor mixes traditional African pieces, modern art and older paintings. Menus are shaped with input from a consultant chef who works with the resident kitchen team on vegetarian and gluten-free options, so dietary needs are catered for rather than an afterthought.
