Vivari Hotel & Spa by Mantis

Vivari sits on Featherbrooke Estate in Muldersdrift, in the Mogale City area west of Johannesburg — thirty-five minutes from Sandton and close to the Cradle of Humankind UNESCO World Heritage Site. The estate grounds include cobblestone paths, a lily pond and mature gardens; the pool and a fit lab are open to all guests.

The hotel holds forty-eight rooms and suites across five categories. Classic rooms run from roughly twenty-three to thirty-four square metres; Luxury rooms from thirty-five to forty-five. The Pearl Suite is fifty-one square metres with a separate lounge and a balcony overlooking the pool and gardens. The Crown Suite, at seventy-two square metres, has a four-poster king bed and a freestanding bathtub set against floor-to-ceiling windows. Every room includes a Nespresso machine, complimentary Wi-Fi, Netflix and access to the spa facilities.

The spa won the World Luxury Spa Award in both 2024 and 2025. It operates nine treatment rooms — including a couples suite — plus a hydrotherapy suite, infrared sauna, heated vitality pool and ice fountain. The treatment menu covers seventeen massage options, sixteen facials (including Biologique Recherche and Exuviance protocols), fourteen body rituals, and nail and beauty services. Serenity packages combine multiple treatments with spa facility access and a two-course lunch, from two hours to a full day.

Brambles Restaurant serves three meals using organically and ethically sourced ingredients. An airport shuttle is available on request, and the hotel holds conference and event facilities on the estate.
