Wadi Dana Lodge

Set in Dana village above Wadi Dana in Jordan's Tafilah Governorate, Dana Tower Hotel occupies stone houses restored from structures built four hundred years ago by families of the al Ata Ata tribe. The village was abandoned as residents moved to nearby Qadissiya; when the Dana Biosphere Reserve was gazetted, the buildings were returned to use as guest accommodation. Twenty rooms spread across the site. Named rooms include the Honey Moon Room, Cave Room, Sunset Royal, and Meditation Room. Each room is en-suite. Windows face Wadi Dana and the reserve beyond. Guided walks lead into the reserve's terrain, passing former copper quarries and archaeological remains dating from settlements active over the past two millennia. Bird-watching excursions and village craft workshops can be arranged through the hotel. Wadi Dana's valley floor lies below the village; paths descend through vegetation zones that include juniper and acacia. The reserve shelters diverse plant and animal species across its protected wilderness. Shobak Castle is accessible by road.
