Wilderness Sabyinyo – Gorilla Trekking *

Gorilla trekking in the Virunga Mountains Gorilla trekking at Wilderness Sabyinyo begins at Volcanoes National Park headquarters in north-western Rwanda. Guests join one of twelve habituated gorilla families for a guided walk through cloud forest and volcanic terrain. The encounter with the gorillas lasts one hour and focuses on observing these endangered mountain primates in their natural habitat. The Virunga Mountains provide the backdrop for this activity, which requires a permit that is not included. Wilderness Sabyinyo offers a base with amenities such as complimentary Wi-Fi, lounge areas, and hot water facilities for guests returning from the trek.
