Yazd Arg Hotel

Brick and clay render form the outer walls, laid around a central courtyard in the pattern of Yazd's older houses. The interior runs modern instead: LCD screens, glass-walled lounges, jacuzzi bathrooms in the upper suites. The hotel holds 150 rooms and suites across two floors, split between 134 twin and double rooms, four larger triple rooms and 12 VIP suites. Rooms run to 25 square metres with king beds, and windows face the surrounding hills, a park, the road or the courtyard itself. You can watch the crypt from certain upper rooms, a detail few hotels in the area can claim. A gym, billiard room, massage room and a photography studio round out the ground floor, along with courts for beach football, beach volleyball and pickleball. The airport lies 15 minutes away by road, and the historic quarter under half an hour. Check-in runs from 2pm.
