Freedom Shores Resort

Woodwark's coastline folds into a private bay here, a short drive inland from Airlie Beach and screened from the road by hills. Freedom Shores holds just 14 rooms across four types: twin-bed boat bungalows, resort suites, a three-bedroom homestead called Pioneer Bay, and the Beach Shack, a standalone villa with its own stretch of sand and sun loungers. Each room looks out over water toward the Whitsunday Islands. The pool runs year-round and sits open to guests at any hour, with loungers scattered across the lawn between the resort and the shack. Breakfast is included and served each morning by the pool deck. For other meals, guests cross the grass to Northerlies Beach Bar & Grill, the on-site restaurant a few minutes' walk away, which serves lunch and dinner daily with a beachfront outlook. A resort bar keeps cocktails and local beer on hand for the terrace. The whole property can be booked exclusively, useful for a wedding party or a family group, with capacity for 40 guests across its rooms. Parking is uncovered but private. Dogs are not permitted, as the resort sits within a wildlife reserve. Check-in runs from 2pm.
