Orbost Motel
Just off the Princes Highway, four room types, EV charger on site
Set just off the Princes Highway on Irvines Road, on the edge of Orbost, the motel sits within a few minutes of the Snowy River and under fifteen minutes from the coast and its national parks. The building was overhauled in a major 2011 renovation, and the four room categories still carry that update through granite counters, timber and leather furniture and king-size beds. The Queen and King rooms suit a single night on the coastal road between Melbourne and Canberra. The King Spa room adds a corner bath to the same layout. A one-bedroom apartment offers a separate lounge and a full kitchen, aimed at longer stays or a family travelling with a dog. Each room comes with a kitchenette, air conditioning and free WiFi. Rooms are fitted with a 43-inch smart TV, coffee machine and full-size fridge, and frozen meals are kept on hand for late arrivals. Outside, a shared barbecue area and a twelve-seat spa sit among the garden, where local birds are a regular fixture. It is a quiet stretch of road. An on-site 6.5kW EV charger covers electric vehicles overnight, and free parking runs along the front of each room, with extra space for boats and trailers. Check-in starts at 2pm.
