Singita Sweni sits on the bank of the Sweni River inside a private concession within Kruger National Park. The lodge holds seven suites — wood and glass structures built on elevated platforms above the river, connected by raised timber walkways. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls and private decks mean you can watch animals come down to the water from your room. Each suite has an indoor bath, an outside shower, a minibar, and a deck with a day bed. The Pool Suite adds a private swimming pool and a shaded riverfront deck, making it workable for families or two people who want more space.

Game drives go out twice daily with a field guide. Guided walks are also available — trackers accompany these on foot through the concession, with a minimum recommended age of fifteen. After dark, low light pollution makes stargazing a practical activity rather than an afterthought.

The main lodge has a pool, a spa, and a fully equipped gym with views into the bush. A wine boutique is staffed by sommeliers who work through a cellar stocked with South African private reserves and vintages. The kitchen runs cooking courses alongside the main restaurant service, and the Singita Community Culinary School — a training programme for local graduates — operates alongside the lodge.

Access to the concession is through Kruger National Park; a regional airstrip serves fly-in guests.
