Tadrai Island Resort

Built into Selena Cove on Mana Island, Tadrai was designed from the outset as an adults-only base for couples rather than a family resort, and it has kept that focus since opening. Just five villas sit along the shore, each roughly 100 square metres and fitted with a private plunge pool that opens onto a raised deck facing the water. That scale is deliberate: no more than a handful of guests share the cove at any time. Villas mix original artwork and decor drawn from Fiji's history with modern touches such as an outdoor tropical shower, ceiling fans and a flat-screen television. An infinity pool sits above the beach, and four separate stretches of white sand around the property give guests room to spread out. Dining is centred on the Na Vatu Restaurant, built over a rock pool, with private in-villa chef service and picnic baskets available on the outer beaches. By day, activities include hand-line fishing, snorkelling on the surrounding reef, sailing and short trips to nearby islands. The Wai Siliva spa operates alfresco, with treatments also offered in-villa. Check-in is at 2pm, check-out at 11am.
