Olive trees ring the pools at Vale d'Oliveiras, their grey-green canopy softening the Algarve heat and giving the resort its name. The coast itself lies close but not underfoot: Carvoeiro beach sits five kilometres off, reached by a free shuttle laid on for guests who prefer not to drive. It is a quiet stretch of countryside between Carvoeiro and Ferragudo, gardens and low hills standing between the resort and the shore. Rooms run from a 28 m² double with balcony to two-bedroom apartments of 108 m², each with a fireplace and full kitchen, built for families who cook as often as they dine out. The Olive Tree Restaurant serves Mediterranean dinners on a terrace above the pool, and Jasmin Pool Bar keeps a seasonal kitchen going through the afternoon for tapas and pizza. D'Spa runs an indoor heated pool, a hammam and treatment rooms alongside the outdoor pool and gym, all included for guests booking a treatment. Children up to twelve stay and eat free on half board, and a kids' club runs seasonally. The resort holds Green Key certification and asks guests to skip housekeeping in exchange for a daily voucher.
