White Bay Villas

White Bay runs pale and shallow at the shoreline, deepening to turquoise past the reef line, with the swell muffled by the curve of the anchorage. Twenty stand-alone villas and cottages sit across the property's 18 acres of beachfront, climbing from the sand into the hillside behind, each built separately so no two units share a wall or a view. Seaside Cottages sit closest to the water. Kitchens come with full-size appliances, and bedrooms have safes, new air conditioning, and linens supplied. Kayaks reach along the bay to Soggy Dollar Bar at the far end. Alice's, the on-site restaurant, serves fresh fish and local produce steps from the sand, and a private beach club adds loungers, coolers, and snorkel gear on request. The estate has been run by the same family for 40 years, starting with a single off-grid house on the hillside, now called Palm Villa, built before the island had public power. A large solar installation, among the biggest in the western BVI, now runs alongside rainwater catchment across the property. Jost Van Dyke itself stays low-key: no traffic lights, a scatter of beach bars, and hiking trails threading the ridge above. Staff can arrange jeep and boat rental, fishing charters, and diving trips. Ferries run daily from Tortola, and the crossing takes under an hour.
