Little Sable
Part of Phasec create
Little Sable sits inside the Khwai Private Reserve, a well-managed private concession on the northern edge of the Okavango Delta. The camp holds eight tents — six twin or double and two family rooms — all raised on wooden platforms so that the grasslands read as a continuous view from the veranda. Each tent has a ceiling fan, an en-suite bathroom with both indoor and outdoor showers, and mosquito netting on the beds.
The reserve's mix of open grassland and seasonal waterways means the activities change with the water levels. Game drives run morning and evening; the Khwai concession holds elephant, hippo, crocodile, sable, and roe deer, and the guides log predator sightings with the reserve rangers. When water levels allow, you take a mokoro — a traditional dug-out canoe poled by a guide — through the lily-pad channels, or board a motorised delta boat for a river cruise at sunset. Guided walks, night drives, catch-and-release fishing, and birding are all on offer. At additional cost, you can join the Khwai Private Reserve rangers at dawn for a predator-tracking patrol, take a cultural visit to Khwai Village next door, or book a scenic helicopter flight over the Delta.
The camp has a pool, complimentary Wi-Fi, and laundry service. A sunken lounge faces the grasslands.
